Our Mission
About Blepharitis.uk
Bridging the gap between complex medical textbooks and the daily reality of living with chronic eye conditions.
Blepharitis.uk was created with a single purpose: to empower patients. We understand that blepharitis is often dismissed as a "minor" irritation, yet it can have a profound impact on quality of life.
Navigating eye health can be overwhelming. Conflicting advice on the internet often leads to frustration and wasted money on ineffective products. We strive to provide a centralized, medically-reviewed resource where you can find accurate, evidence-based guidance on symptoms, hygiene, and treatments.
What we stand for
- Medically Reviewed: Content is reviewed by an ophthalmologist. We describe review dates, sources, and any relevant limitations.
- Patient Focused: We translate complex medical jargon into clear, actionable advice that fits into your daily routine.
- Independent: We aim to be evidence-led. Where products or procedures are discussed, we explain the evidence level, benefits/risks, and alternatives, and we disclose any relevant relationships.
